We have been contacted today by the HR Department in St. Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin as they are looking to recruit some new HCA’s in the coming weeks and they are looking for newly qualified FETAC Healthcare Assistants to apply. Details are as follows:
If any of your recent graduates from the HCA course would like to submit their CVs, they can email the same to nursing.recruitment@svuh.ie. The criteria for shortlisting will be:
(a) Candidates must, on the latest date for receipt of applications, hold:
(i) The relevant health Skills FETAC Level 5 qualification or
(ii) An equivalent relevant health care qualification or
(iii) Be currently employed as a Health Care Assistant or a comparable role and is committed to undertaking the Skills FETAC Level 5 qualification within the internship
(b) Candidates must have the personal competence and capacity to properly discharge the duties of the role.
(c) English as a first language or IELTS score of 5.5 or higher is essential.
(d) Experience as a Health Care Assistant or similar in an acute hospital setting is desirable.
(e) Must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
(f) Permission to work full time in the Republic of Ireland
(g) Be of good character and demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to be a team player.
