Role One: 2 x Office Administrators / Certification Coordinators (Full-Time, Permanent) – Dublin.

 

New opportunities have arisen for two Office Administrators / Certification Coordinators.

The applicants will gain practical experience in Customer service, dealing with the Public, Office Procedures, Quality Control, Education Sector Procedures, Attending meetings and General Office functions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service – making and receiving calls, liaising with academic staff and both new & existing students.
  • Maintaining student files – ensuring student records are kept up to date.
  • Notification of results to learners – Implementation of correct company policy and procedures surrounding same.
  • Accounts Administration.
  • Quality Control.
  • Meetings management and coordination.
  • General Office duties.

The duties are not limited to the list above.

 

Key Competencies:

  • Organised, methodical and thorough approach to work.
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure.
  • Good at juggling tasks and prioritising.
  • A great team player with good people skills.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Ability to use your own initiative.
  • Good telephone manner, good communication skills (verbal & written), fluent in English, attention to detail and high level of accuracy, good organisation and time management skills.

Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook is essential for these roles.

 

Reports to: Operations Manager.

Based at: Hybrid Working – The Open College, Unit 9, Leopardstown Business Centre, Ballyogan Road, Leopardstown, Dublin 18 & Home Working Options available.

Position Status: Full-Time @ 35hrs per week (Mon – Fri), Permanent

Commencement Dates: Immediate Start.

Role Two: Educational Technology Assistant (Full-Time, Permanent) – Dublin.

 

Role Profile:

To carry out direct educational technology activities, so as to maintain and develop the offering to prospective students within The Open College, in accordance with agreed business development plans and activities.

Ideal for a recent graduate or if studying a relevant course in the area.

 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Work within the education technology department to develop materials for course delivery.
  • Video Content recording, editing and production. Includes production of video, multimedia presentations, graphics, animation and text to create an engaging educational experience designed in accordance with sound pedagogical principles.
  • Liaise and manage The Open College lecturers to fulfill future eLearning requirements.
  • Direct and Manage lecture’s delivery of content for uploading onto online platforms – Video recording, Learning Materials, Additional Content, Quizzes etc.
  • Work with the education technology department to develop e-learning content for internal training.
  • Update existing Learning materials for uploading to eLearning database.
  • Provide support in the use of Moodle to other admin staff as and when required.
  • Develop ideas and create new media and delivery options for eLearning within The Open College.
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information on student usage of eLearning platforms.

 

This list is not exhaustive and includes some but not all responsibilities which may change from time to time depending on business development and external developments.

 

The successful candidates will have the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Degree in Instructional Design / e-Learning or similar – Desirable.
  • Or near completion on a similar qualification.
  • Knowledge of multimedia applications including video.
  • Experience with working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle.
  • Knowledge of pedagogical principles that underpin e-learning.
  • Experience of using e-learning authoring software such as Articulate Rise.
  • Strong IT literacy in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a collaborative environment.
