Health & Social Care Lecturers

We are expanding our new Health & Social Care Degree programme and are seeking to recruit additional lecturers in the various Social Care areas.

Applicants are invited to apply who are suitably qualified and have the expertise in the Social Care industry from a range of services to include; practitioners, support workers, educators, managers, social workers, policy developers and/or any other relevant and associated discipline.

Teaching will be delivered on a modular basis. The Open College will be on hand for any support needed while on the job and attractive remuneration package offered to reflect qualifications & experience.

 

The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

Mandatory:

  • Degree in a Social Care or relevant discipline.
  • 4+ years’ work experience relative to the Social Care industry.
  • Lecturing experience in Higher Education (online desirable).
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CORU regulatory requirements for Health & Social Care Workers.

 

Desirable:

  • Ability to provide support to learners of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to motivate and support learners.
  • Proficient with online technologies and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Knowledge of the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) in FET & HET.

Healthcare Tutors (QQI Levels 5 & 6) – Online Delivery

 

Are you interested in working in Further Education and Training?

We are now recruiting new online Healthcare Tutors and are seeking to recruit tutors for various QQI Level 5 & 6 Healthcare Courses.

Applicants are invited to apply who are suitably qualified and have the expertise in the Healthcare industry from a range of services to include; practitioners, educators, managers, policy developers and/or any other relevant and associated discipline.

Teaching will be delivered on a modular basis.

 

The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

 

Mandatory:

  • Must be qualified to at least a level 8 in a relevant healthcare qualification and have an active registration on the Nursing and Midwifery boards
  • 4+ years’ work experience relative to the Healthcare industry.
  • 2+ years’ relevant teaching experience in QQI Healthcare Modules both online and face to face teaching including assignment correction, marking and feedback.
  • Exceptional communication skills.

 

Desirable:

  • Ability to provide support to learners of diverse backgrounds and adapt to student needs
  • Ability to motivate and support learners.
  • Proficient with online technologies and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Knowledge of the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) in FET & HET.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work towards deadlines.
