JOB DESCRIPTION
The RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) Dún Laoghaire fundraising branch is currently seeking a volunteer Events Organiser to support our fundraising activities throughout the year. This role would provide an excellent opportunity for a student to gain practical experience in event planning, volunteer coordination, community engagement, and fundraising while supporting a life-saving charity.
The position is unpaid, however the successful volunteer would play an important role in helping the RNLI raise funds that support our mission of saving lives at sea.
The role would suit someone who:
- Is highly organised and proactive
- Has good communication and coordination skills
- Has some availability during both daytime and evening hours
- Is interested in event management, community engagement, fundraising, or the charity sector
Activities may include helping to organise:
- Street collections
- Music and community fundraising events
- Table quizzes
- Sailathons
- Corporate and community partnership activities
- Other fundraising events throughout the year
